Største cruiseskip i verden konseptet - The World's Largest Cruise Ship - Princess Kaguya * NO AFFILIATION WITH PRINCES CRUISES * NOTHING TO DO WITH PRINCESS CRUISE LINES*El más grande del mundo de cruceros a la Princesa KaguyaVärldens största kryssningsfartyg Prinsessan KaguyaNajvečje svetovne potniške ladje Princeso KaguyaMaailman suurin risteilyalus Prinsessa KaguyaLe plus grand navire de croisière de la Princesse KaguyaMove Over Oasis Class!!!! 450,000 tons for a new Cruise Ship in the planning stages !!!! For more info, go to - http://www.topspeed.com/boats/boat-news/-gigantic-cruise-ship-planned-ar32625.html - If you think the plans for Royal Caribbeans Oasis class are wild, wait until you hear about Princess Kaguya, a city-at-sea concept that's been presented to Finland's Aker Yards, according to media reports. If financed and ultimately built, the ship would measure 450,000 tons; that's more than one-and-a-half times the size of The Oasis (222,000 tons). It's not a cruise line behind the idea, but a company called Japan Contents Network Inc., whose CEO Hajime Tanaka has launched three golf courses and a Formula One circuit. And the 20-deck ship itself would operate differently from the cruise ships most travelers are used to. In addition to carrying a maximum number of 8,400 passengers, up to 10,000 visitors could board in each port to partake of its urban amenities. JCN has even considered selling some rooms as residences. The proposed design on its project Web site, princesskaguya.com, includes:Three independent, different "class" hotels, each with 1,200 rooms.A multipurpose hall of 6,000 square meters, nearly 65,000 square feet., for holding trade shows and conventions, concerts, indoor sporting events, etc.A shopping mall 300 meters long, almost 1,000 ft.A whopping 55 restaurants: 20 for passengers, 20 for visitors, and five in each of the three hotels (15 altogether).A "Cruising Amusement Park" (no specific details are given at this point).----------------------------------Aker Yards designs Princess Kaguya colossusConceptual designs for a huge 'urban cruise ship' which will house three 1,200-room hotels offering residential suites and offices, a total of 45 restaurants, a shopping mall, 6,000sq meter convention hall, a 2,000-seat concert hall and amusement park, have been completed by Aker Yards. The company behind the project is Tokyo-based Japan Contents Network Inc whose ceo, 60-year-old Hajime Tanaka, designed and built three Japanese golf courses in the 1970s and a private driving circuit which hosted two Formula One Pacific Grand Prix in the '90s.The dimensions of the ship, project name 'Princess Kaguya,' are staggering: 370,000grt, 500 mtr long, with 20 decks and capacity for 8,400 passengers, 4,000 crew and a service speed of 20 knots. 'What makes this project different to a conventional cruise ship is the ability to cater for 10,000 visitors while the ship is in port, in addition to the passenger/crew roster, allowing up to 30,000 people to be on board simultaneously,' Ko Nemoto, JCN corporate officer, told Seatrade Insider. The idea would be to hold sporting events and exhibition and trade shows on the floating city while the ship is in port, initially in Asian waters but dependent on demand the vessel could go anywhere in the world.Nemoto confirmed the company is now analyzing the business and financial aspects of the project in conjunction with a prominent European corporate finance house and a dozen or so Asian financial institutions. 'We hope to get financial backing by the end of this year, and would spend a further year working on contractual issues'. The construction period will be three years so realistically the ship would not be ready until late 2011, early 2012.While the initial conceptual study resulted in a ship of 370,000gt, an even bigger ship incorporating all of JCN's wish list came out at around 450,000gt equivalent to a double The Oasis -\sized ship, but Nemoto said the 370,000gt version proved to be technically feasible and more realistic in terms of maneuvering in port (see www.princesskaguya.com). RCI's Genesis, arriving in 2009, will be 220,000gt, so Princess Kaguya would be more than one-and-a-half times bigger.----Royal Caribbeans Oasis Caribbean International Carnival Cruise line Holland America Princess Kaguya Aker Yards Finnyards USS Royal Caribbean Norwegian Hawaii vacations Caribbean Mexico Alaska Vacation Outlet Oslo Norway Queen Elizabeth II Celebrity Constellation v - ----------------------------------http://www.marinetalk.com/articles-marine-companies/art/Gigantic-Cruise-Ship-Planned-xxx00074317IN.html-----------------------------------http://www.topspeed.com/boats/boat-news/-gigantic-cruise-ship-planned-ar32625.html - Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaishahttp://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=558174

May 1, 2010 - i bet you $50.000 that this will not be built.
dlabout Says:
May 4, 2010 - @77magenta magenta you have a unique sense of humor. Rest assured my wife is safe on board at ALL times.
6teenbombers Says:
May 21, 2010 - if that comes out royal caribean will com out with the fucking bigest bigger bigass of the seas.
cortes1988 Says:
Jun 1, 2010 - The cruise population is about 8000. Who would want to be in a ship with that much people ? It would be one crowded ship, but I would atleast go in it just to check it out and all.
cortes1988 Says:
Jun 1, 2010 - @6teenbombers It says to be coming out in the late 2011. Ill believe it when I see it with my own eyes.
CMckay01 Says:
Jun 15, 2010 - International water laws said that the Oasis ship would be the largest they will allow ships to get so this has to be a FAKE.
kcjcgroup Says:
Jun 16, 2010 - it may be big but it has terrible sevice
tupsumato Says:
Jun 16, 2010 - @CMckay01, I'd like to see a source for this. I have never heard of "international water laws".
tupsumato Says:
Jun 16, 2010 - @cortes1988, if it was coming in 2011, the steel structure should be complete by now and there should've been pictures somewhere...
cortes1988 Says:
Jun 17, 2010 - @tupsumato I agree the steel structure should be complete by now and there should be pictures. I am just reading the information I found out about it. It's not like Royal Carribean where they have a website to keep an update on the Allure of the Seas. Im just reading what I found out. But like I said on one of my comments ill believe it when I see it when my own eyes like I did with the Oasis of the Seas.
tupsumato Says:
Jun 17, 2010 - @cortes1988, it's not about what people have found out, but what people have not found out. Projects like these tend to get pretty wide coverage in shipbuilding magazines, and so far there has been nothing.
cortes1988 Says:
Jun 17, 2010 - @tupsumato All I know is that this is coming from the japanese. Not america, not finland not anywhere else. I never read any ship building magazines before. I don't believe that this ship is going to be built at all because it doesn't keep updated like the Allure of the Seas. The Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas(sister ship) will still remain the biggest of them all.
coasterkid95 Says:
Jun 22, 2010 - The biggest ship is going to be the oasis of seas
gbscms Says:
Jun 23, 2010 - Princess kaguya is a ship that will be relased in china but will visit different portsSaddly theres no website in the description so google "ocreansilkroad"If this ship is real, then the ship might finish later then they said which they said 2012
urataruman Says:
Jul 23, 2010 - what music did you use for this? nice job.
philk02 Says:
Aug 10, 2010 - Actually, this is a real concept and they are attempting to go with first round of finance. It's going to be a Japanese ship.
Underdog263 Says:
Aug 11, 2010 - @philk02 Finally an INTELLEGENT COMMENT on this concept cruise ship!
TheBlackParade01x Says:
Aug 11, 2010 - We can all sit here and say "This is fake!" "It won't float!" "It's impossible!" "It'll never happen.." But then one day, BAM, we're gonna hear the news that the steel structures been built, and it'll be ready to sail before we know it.. I have faith in this, it'll be damn epic if it happens :D
WildBillTurkey Says:
Aug 12, 2010 - I've never seen a more boring clip on YouTube.Ever.
FrostyGerman Says:
Aug 14, 2010 - @coasterkid95 its already the biggest ship...
Vire70 Says:
Aug 17, 2010 - Just out of curiosity, why do they build ships longer and longer rather than wider? I would have thought making it wider would provide better buoyancy, as well as reducing the stress the hull takes when going over large waves.
tupsumato Says:
Aug 21, 2010 - @Vire70, increasing breadth would increase resistance. Also, I believe increasing the height of the ship reduces stress more effectively.
journeezwinkton Says:
Aug 21, 2010 - they are already building the big ships for 2012
Greedy4Money Says:
Aug 22, 2010 - lol 0:01 - 0:15 should be its Horn. O.O just a thought

77magenta Says:
May 1, 2010 - @dlabout make sure you dont push the bitch overboard. hahahaha
